Can I add results to my profile?

The short answer - No. Results that appear in your profile are generated from our results database. Only Full Coverage events are included in our results database and we only include the results when the promoter provides us with a complete list of results from the event. To determine which tournaments will be included and the status of results, check out the Results section for a list.

Can you send me information on a tournament?

Sorry we do not mail things out to people about tournaments because we don't have flyers. You should be able to find all the information we have about a particular tournament by using our tournament search engine (under Tournaments) or by clicking on a tournament text link or graphic on any page on the site.

Hey, you don't have results from [tournament name].

We do our best to provide results from the Full Coverage tournaments that we cover each year. However, we rely on the promoters to provide the results to us which does not always happen. We do not post results from events that are not Full Coverage events. Go to the Results area or Tournaments or the Links to see a list of Full Coverage events.

How can I get my tournament information on the site?

A general listing in our search database is free and you can submit your information online. We update our database approximately once per month so make sure you provide your information in a timely manner. You can also get more extensive advertising and marketing for your tournament through graphics, enhanced searches, e-mail campaigns and more. Go to our newly updated Advertising area for all the options and to purchase advertising options.

How can I get you to come to my tournament?

First go and check out our Advertising area to see our advertising options. Check under the Premiere Events tab for more information on having reporters come to your event.

How do I change my profile?

Go to Correct My Profile log in to update your profile. You now have the option of changing certin information in your own profile. If you have recently submitted a profile remember that it can take up to a month for new profiles to go online since we only add new profiles once per month. Yes, we are that busy!! Remember that your Profile log in information is not the same as your Member log in information. If you lost your Profile password, you can have it sent to you using the Correct My Profile page. If you changed your email address and did not update your profile with your new email address, we will update your profile for you with your new email address ONCE as a courtesy - after that, it is your responsiblity to update your own profile! To have your profile email address change, use our Help Request form to request the change.

How do I contact you?

If you need to contact us, the best way is through the Help Request Form. We are able to check the help area often and if your request involves something crucial or very important, we can usually respond right away as long as we have access to the internet. Our mailing address is:

Martial Arts Sports League, Inc.
SportMartialArts.com
2751 Hennepin Avenue S., Suite 597
Minneapolis, MN 55408
Email: maslinc@SportMartialArts.com

But remember, we get hundreds of emails each day and don't always have time to read them all. The best way to contact us with requests is to use the Help form as it is what we focus on daily for responding to requests!

How do I get a photo in my profile?

We are working on creating a method that will allow people to upload their own photos. However, until that time, in order to get a photo in your profile you need to email your photo(s) to the webmasters. Here are the specifications: (1) photos must be in .jpg format and attached (not embedded) in your email; (2) photos should be a minimum of 250 pixels wide; (3) photos should not be blurry and should clearly show the face of the subject; (4) please use the first and last name of the subject as the name of the photo, i.e. johnsmith.jpg; (5) you only get 2 photos in your profile so don't send more than 2.

Remember, we have no idea what photos you think are best so don't make requests like - "just pick one of my online photos" because we don't have time to review your online photos and pick one. It is up to you to figure out which photos you want in your profile and to send them to us!

Photos that are in the wrong format, are blurry, inappropriate, too small or can't be used will be rejected.

Profiles are updated approximately once per month so don't expect to see your photos online immediately.

How do I get my profile online?

Go to Profiles, fill out and submit the form. You still need to email us photos if you want them added to your profile but we are in the process of creating a system to allow you to upload your own photos.

If you already have a profile online, DO NOT submit a new profile form to change your profile. Instead, go to Correct My Profile, log in and update your own profile.

How many photos can I submit for my profile?

Profiles are limited to two photos - one head shot and one action shot. Please make sure photos are in .jpg format and are at least 250 pixels wide. Also, be sure that you use the profile name to name your photos - i.e. johnsmith.jpg - so that we know who is in the photo! Blurry photos, photos that are in the wrong format, photos that are not of the competitor and photos that are too small or otherwise unusable will not be accepted or used.

I got the Whoops! page or an error page when I did something. What do I do next?

If you find an error on the site, we implore you to please let us know. The site is so large that we sometimes don't know about errors for a long, long time. You can help us to keep the site running smoothly by letting us know immediately if you find a problem.

I need an invitation to compete at a tournament, can you send me one?

Sorry, we are not tournament promoters. We just provide news and coverage of events. You must contact a particular tournament promoter and have the promoter send you the requested invitation.

I submitted a profile or profile photos and it is not up yet. What's up?

We do new profile additions approximately once per month depending on our schedule. There is no need for you to resubmit anything because it won't us go any faster. Just be patient and you'll see the profile update online soon.

My tournament information is incorrect. How do I fix it?

Use our form for adding tournaments to also correct your tournament information. If you are correcting information, at a minimum, please include your tournament name and date so we can locate it in our database.

What is a Full Coverage event?

Full Coverage events are tournaments or other events where the promoters buy advertising on SportMartialArts.com, bring reporters to the event and agree to work with SportMartialArts.com to provide the maximum coverage possible for the event. We encourage people to support Full Coverage events because the promoters are actually spending money, not only to advertise, but also to assure that there will be videos, photos, results and a review of their event online. We are a small outfit with a small budget and cannot afford to go to events without help from the promoters. Only Full Coverage events are included in the SportMartialArts.com Ratings.
